the first ER run
Yes, our first ER run! Charlie, Will and I decided to take a bike ride to the park. Charlie decided to dodge the dog poo on the bike trail, overturned his handlebars and take a significant crash on the pavement! The look on his face and what seemed like blood coming from his head and every limb on his body immediatley put me in the “nurse” role! Thankfully, my neuro assessments were in clear order! After about 20 min. and a talk with a triage nurse, Charlie and I made the trek into the ER. Charlie did awesome! After a thorough exam and CT scan of his head, we left the ER with much more confidence that Charlie had no apparent head injury! Thank you, Jesus! Although the day was very stressful, I went to bed last night feeling so thankful for my 3 kids and so close to Charlie. As we waited in the ER room, Charlie and I played “I Spy” and talked about the silliest things! We (Charlie) took pictures of every corner of the room so we could “share” the experience with Dad and Claire! Despite the reason of why we were in the ER, Charlie and I had a blast together!
I will post some pictures as soon as I get them loaded……………….right now, I may just go relax on the couch………I think I need it after yesterday!
