a special day in history
I picked up Claire from school today and I asked her why today is such a special day……….and I told her it wasn’t because she gets to spend the rest of the day with me and her 2 brothers…………she laughed and than gave me the big eyes and said, “Because we have a new President!” She continued on with, “Barack Obama is the first African-American President of the United States. He is our 44th President and he used Abraham Lincoln’s bible to be sworn in with!” Wow! I thought to myself! Today is a special day! All 3 kids and I watched history happen today……………as the kids chanted “We want Obama not all the drama!” (They picked that up from their cousin Gracie!)
